Governor JB Pritzker visits EeroQ HQ
Last week, EeroQ welcomed Illinois Governor JB Pritzker to the company’s Chicago headquarters for a tour of its engineering facility and announced financial incentives, which EeroQ recently earned from the State of Illinois, as well as a $1.1M investment commitment EeroQ is making to the State of Illinois.
The tour of EeroQ’s engineering facility – which included a showcase of EeroQ’s Wonder Lake prototype quantum computing chip – was followed by a press conference to announce EeroQ’s participation in two programs that are part of the Illinois VISTA Initiative.
EeroQ entered into an Illinois EDGE for Startups agreement, which will offer tax credits to EeroQ in exchange for $1.1M in capital expenditure investment and new hires at EeroQ’s Humboldt Park headquarters.
Illinois also made an equity investment in EeroQ’s most recent funding round through the Illinois INVENT Fund, which is administered by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and is designed to support Illinois small businesses in key technology sectors.
The press conference was covered by Forbes Breaking News and can be viewed in its entirety here. The official press release from Governor Pritzker’s office can be found here.
We are extremely grateful to Governor Pritzker and his team for the opportunity to share EeroQ’s technology innovations and plan for growth, and for his visionary leadership that is making Illinois a leading quantum hub in the nation and across the globe.
