Internship Impact: EeroQ’s ZeroHeliumKit Gets Major Upgrades
This summer, EeroQ proudly hosted its first intern from UChicago, Paulina DePaulo, who made significant contributions to the development of ZeroHeliumKit, one of our key software tools. With Paulina’s help, we’ve successfully published ZeroHeliumKit on the Python Package Index (PyPI), making installation effortless via a simple terminal command:
pip install zeroheliumkit
In addition to streamlining installation, Paulina prepared comprehensive documentation for the package using Sphinx, which is now hosted on ReadTheDocs for easy access by developers and researchers. She also played a pivotal role in implementing performance improvements to the FEM components of ZeroHeliumKit, including multicore processing support, resulting in faster and more efficient computations.
EeroQ is excited about these upgrades and grateful for Paulina’s impact, setting the stage for continued innovation and accessibility in our quantum software tools.
